Cà Mau:  A contract signing ceremony was held on 9 March 2010 at Phu Cuong Jostoco head office in Ca Mau. The relevant parties comprising Phu Cuong Group (PCG) and Phuc Hung Thinh Software Solutions (SS4U) had concluded a contract on the service that SS4U provides ERP solutions for PCG to be applied within the group’s member companies’ management and connected to PCJ head office. The contract value includes the copyright of specific software to be tailor-made by SS4U exclusively for PCG and its members in Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Vinh Long.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a contemporary solution applicable in enterprises’ managements nowadays. The solution utilizes specific software to process data and program all tactics, tasks of the whole management processes into idealized segments to be stored in a system database. The programmed tasks help the management to be unified throughout the Group system and thus will simplify the relevant tactics as well as minimize the human errors in management.    In another word, ERP is defined as the Multi-Module Software Application supporting enterprises in utilizing all of the enterprise’s resources and therefore idealizing the management tasks.

The application of ERP solutions is very popular in various developed countries. In addition to features such as simplifying the management tasks and minimizing human errors, the solutions also help the enterprise in updating the international standards, norms in the different segments such as finance and accounting; material controls; productions; sales and procurements, distribution; services; planning and reporting. etc.

The total contract value of about 10 billion VND covers analyzing the existing management process and then idealizing the process; producing specific software; relevant hard ware; training; warranty and software updating.  A “Project Kick-off” meeting will be held in Ca Mau on 25 March 2010 to start the project development. According to the tentative plan, the exploring and analyzing will be implemented at 5 companies at the same time. The unification of the database to the hub server at PCJ head office will be carried out by the end of 2010.

Mr. Tham Van Huong, CEO of SS4U, commented that the specific software is the local product made by a Vietnamese solution & software provider therefore it is surely more competitive in terms of cost as well as more compatible with the existing management systems in Vietnam if compared with those imported from overseas. Moreover, the software has the interface in Vietnamese; it’s convenient for Vietnamese users, especially in rural areas.
